Eagle Platforms have just hit a massive boundary, with six brand new IPAF training courses available to choose from. All of the details of each of the courses can be found on our website, but this post will give you a summary of what you can expect from the exciting new options.
IPAF Demonstrator Course
Overview
Our IPAF Demonstrator course is dedicated to helping those who need to instruct their teams on the safe use of equipment or who are involved in handovers of MEWPs to third parties.
Duration
The course takes one or two days to complete.
Outcome
Successful delegates will become fully competent in their role in demonstrating the safe operation of MEWPs as well as handling of them.
IPAF Loading & Unloading MEWP Course
Overview
Our IPAF Loading & Unloading course is aimed at individuals who need to ensure the safety and security of plant machinery in relation to its transportation by road.
Duration
The course takes place over one day.
Outcome
The range of practical and theoretical training will ensure that delegates are able to understand the types of vehicles suited to transportation, the correct procedure for the loading and unloading of MEWPs including their proper placement, how to secure loads and carry out safety checks.
IPAF PAL Course
Overview
We offer the course (IPAF 3a and 3b) that enables access to a PAL card, serving as proof of training for operating MEWPs, MCWPs and Construction Hoists.
Duration
The course consists of one day (7 hours) of training
Outcome
The course will train delegates in successful and safe operation of the relevant working at height equipment and once completed delegates will receive the much coveted PAL card, valid for five years.
IPAF Pal+ Course
Overview
The IPAF PAL+ course is directed towards individuals looking for a more advanced course after having completed the PAL course and is especially suited to operators of MEWPs who work in challenging conditions and environments.
Duration
This course takes place over one day.
Outcome
After successfully completing the PAL+ course delegates will be well versed in anaylsing the potential for accidents and how to avoid them partly through best MEWP selection and hazard awareness. They will also be able to inspect equipment for safe operation.
IPAF Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Course
Overview
Our IPAF PDI course is aimed at those who regularly perform inspections of MEWPs and need to fulfil legal requirements and follow best safety procedure, such as rental staff, depot-based workers and mechanics.
Duration
The course takes place over the course of a day.
Outcome
Upon successful completion of the course delegates will understand the relevant guidelines and laws for carrying out PDIs, be able to spot common issues and whether a pass or fail is warranted for various MEWP types.
IPAF Site Assessment (for MEWPs) Course
Overview
Our new IPAF Site Assessment course is directed at delegates who are charged with carrying out full site assessments followed by the right MEWP for the job at hand. Candidates must have completed the IPAF MEWPs for Managers course or hold an MEWPs Supervisor qualification.
Duration
The course takes place over half a day
Outcome
After taking the course delegates will be able to be confident in recommending specific equipment to their customers or choose it for their own jobs as well as carry out proper assessments of sites and conditions for health and safety purposes.
