Here is a further update on the scissor lift incident which happened in Northampton this week.

We stress again this is not a machine model that we rent in our fleet and we are not involved.

After fearing the worst for two personnel working on the platform, we now hear the good news that both are recovering in hospital. Though one person faces potential life changing injuries.

We have no further information as to cause of this accident yet, though a site meeting yesterday with HSE, Police, and all concerned parties is expected to give some provisional advice very soon.

We believe it is good price to recheck the fleet but commonsense should limit the restriction on use to the make and specific model involved and not encompass all the product range. It is hoped this will be resolved quickly.

We are including the facts, such as we have, in our training programmes to further educate us on the case and how we can all stay safe.

Purely as a precaution we have commenced on site checks of our LGMG scissor lifts and booms and completing further LOLER tests to reassure clients and ourselves that the equipment continues to be in good, safe working order.

This work should be complete in 48 hours.

Please contact us immediately if you have any concerns at all.
