IPAF PRE-DELIVERY INSPECTION (PDI) COURSE
Who is the course for?
Eagle Platforms offer the PDI course for delegates who work in positions that means they must learn to correctly perform in-service inspections of MEWPs in a way that fulfils legal requirements and follows best safety practice. In practical terms, this often means candidates are one of the following:
• Rental company staff
• Service technicians/mechanics
• Depot-based personnel
what are the aims of the course?
In terms of the legal requirements, MEWPs must be inspected six monthly or annually (depending on country) and by a competent (trained) person. PDIs form a vital part of the service plan, alongside the inspections to ensure safety.
The course will train delegates in the relevant guidelines and legislations for carrying out PDIs, how to recognise common faults in MEWPs, when a pass or fail is merited and how to carry out PDIs for distinct kinds of MEWPs.
A theory and practical test will determine whether a delegate passes. A valid PAL card held for at least six months is mandatory for taking this course. All IPAF courses are in very high demand, so please get in touch to register your interest, or with any questions you might have.
